Growing Up

I was born in Seattle, Washington in 1982 and grew up in Park Lake Homes (the projects) around many cultures and diverse people. From the ages of 9 and 13, I lived in fostercare. At the age of 16, we moved to Wyoming and I ended up living on my own. I refused to quit school despite the challenges and graduated in 2000 at the age of 17.

Primarily raised by my grandmother, I was introduced to the world through television and radio. Between home and school, I learned to appreciate the differences in people, their cultures, and how politics have shaped society.

These early experiences shaped my worldview and instilled in me a deep love for humanity.

Education and Experience

After high school, I continued my education both at college and independently. Criminal Justice was my primary focus, but I also study Computer Science and technology-related subjects to broaden my knowledge and skills. I find science fascinating, so I keep up with advancements in these fields regularly.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I have always been passionate about community service and volunteer work. I believe in giving back to society and making a positive impact wherever I can.

Survival

The most important skill I learned is survival. I have been homeless 4 times since graduation. During these times I had to become more resourceful than ever, finding ways to secure food, shelter, and safety while maintaining my determination to succeed in life.

It is because of these experiences that I have developed resilience, adaptability, and a strong sense of self-reliance. I have learned to navigate life's challenges with determination and resourcefulness, and these skills continue to shape my approach to both personal and professional endeavors.
